I have years of experience tutoring math to students of all ages. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and special education from Brooklyn College and I tutor grades PK-College.
I love math so I try to make math fun for my students. I adapt the sessions to the needs and abilities of my student. I always try to connect math topics with our every day life, so the student can understand and successfully master the topic.
One of my first success stories is when I helped a 9th grade student prepare to pass the Regents exam. We started working together once or twice a week in the middle of the semester and the student was really discouraged about his knowledge of math. The student not only improved his grades in math class, but was able to pass the Regents with a high score. He gained enough confidence to retake the exam for a higher score.
When I am not tutoring I like to watch shows, read and do puzzles(jigsaw, brain teasers, sudoku, etc).
