I have a Bachelor's degree from Western Governors University. I teach Math, ELA, Science, and ESL with over a decade of experience. I use innovative and constructive teaching strategies in my classroom. As a caring, patient, and supportive instructor, I am dedicated to facilitating the development of young minds and empowering them to reach their full potential.
My tutoring style is student-centered, honing in on comprehending each individual's distinctive learning needs and preferences. I create an engaging and supportive environment by prioritizing the development of confidence. I employ a diverse range of teaching methods, incorporating real-world examples, interactive activities, and in-depth explanations to guarantee clarity and lasting understanding. Moreover, I prioritize teaching critical thinking and problem-solving skills to foster independent learning among students.
One of my favorite success stories is when I helped a high school student not only pass but do exceedingly well in her Algebra class. She came to me halfway through the semester, struggling severely in her class. We met three times a week for the rest of the semester, and she was able to raise her grade from a D+ to an A-! I helped her focus on understanding the core concepts and building her confidence. By the end of the semester, she developed a newfound appreciation for math. She continued to excel in her subsequent math courses and is currently pursuing a degree in Accounting.
My interests: I like playing piano, dancing, singing, playing chess, playing tennis, gardening, writing, and reading.
