I have more than 20 years of experience tutoring the GRE, SAT, ACT, and other standardized exams. I have an MBA from the University of Illinois and I tutor grades 5-College.

My tutoring style:

I use a direct, no nonsense approach to tutoring. Together we first discuss the student's weak points and hone in on improving and strengthening those skills. My belief is a student truly knows the topic if they can first solve the problem and then explain to me the steps taken and why. Frequently I will pepper the student with questions to ensure they are on the right path. I drill students with numerous problem sets until they feel confident in their abilities in the subject area.

Success story:

I obtained an MBA degree and then began tutoring professions for both the GRE and TOEFL exams needed to enter the program. Most students were not native English speakers and came to me for test prep help. 40 students asked for help with one or both of the exams in the first year and a half. All forty students achieved the necessary score on the GRE to enter the MBA program and successfully graduated with their masters degree.
