About Me

I'm a tutor with years of experience teaching kids Math and English from all ages and backgrounds. I have gone overseas to teach in Japan for 3 years, and have tutored grades 3 to 12 remotely for 2 years until now.

Tutoring Style

I'm a relaxed tutor who likes to build a rapport with my students, to help them relate to the material I'm teaching. A student's understanding of the material is my top priority, so I'm always listening, watching, and checking to make sure they're following along.

Success Story

One of my success stories is with a student who was moving to high school the year I met him. Because of the pandemic, he was 3 years behind on his education - but insisted that he wanted to be able to go to high school and keep up, instead of being forced into taking remedial classes. I met with him 2 to 3 times a week for a year, catching him up on both English and Math: he's now attending high school and although he still needs help occasionally, he's able to get decent grades and keep up with the material.

Hobbies & Interests

I like watching and reading anime manga, and art. I work on illustrations in my free time almost every day. I also enjoy translating works I'm passionate about to help practice my 2nd language. When I'm not doing those, I also like video games!
