About Me

I am a certified School counselor in New York. However, I have been a middle school mathematics teacher since 2009. In addition to my bachelor's and master's degrees, I have a teaching diploma from the College of Agriculture Science and Education.

Tutoring Style

I like to make my tutoring sessions meaningful. Getting to know my students helps me to create real-life scenarios that aid in understanding the content presented.

Success Story

In my grade 7 class (2018) I worked with a 12-year-old boy who had difficulties with the grade level mathematics. I developed a relationship getting to know that he likes basketball and who is is favorite player. Using basketball terms and player names in our sessions helps him to be more interested and involved in our sessions. We work together twice a week. He went from failing to getting second honors.
